Gay Homestays provides authentic gay travel experiences by connecting LGBT travellers with LGBT hosts who have a spare room or apartment to rent. The mainstream market leader in the collaborative travel sector is Airbnb, which has disrupted the hotel industry and is now valued at $10 Billion. We take the view that equivalent penetration can be achieved within the niche gay travel market which is 5-10% of the travel industry according to a Community Marketing and Insight Report (2013). It is well documented that gay people have more disposable income and travel more than their straight counterparts. Consequently, the gay travel market is a large and lucrative and estimated to be worth around $64 Billion in the US, $68 Billion in Europe and $23 Billion in Brazil. From modest investment we've recorded significant revenue growth and now we're looking for investment to help take the company to the next level and to fully capture the potential of the highly lucrative LGBT travel market.
