Feel Three

Affordable, modular motion simulator for Oculus Rift

About

The world is on the edge of another great revolution. Virtual Reality, the next great computing platform, will finally arrive in 2015. Oculus (bought by Facebook in 2014 for $2b) are targeting a seated experience but currently available motion simulation chairs are very limited. You have a choice of paying £5-40k, or spending a few months, and several thousand pounds, building your own primitive DIY simulator. We designed a simpler solution that uses only three curved panels to form a spherical cockpit. An omni-directional drive chain hidden in the base allows movement in three axis simultaneously. People that actually feel like they're in a car or plane will find it much more convincing and enjoyable. There are a dozen or so motion simulator producers but none are focused on VR and none are in our lower projected price range. We will sell the base units quite affordably to bring customers into the platform then offer upgrades and addons for strong after sales.
